The Peril of Foreign Entanglements
‘if the TV says jab, then we jab. And if the TV says war, we war.’
In that Farewell Address, Washington, our first President. warned against the peril of foreign entanglements. He understood the necessity of certain alliances in dire emergencies, but his general view of foreign policy encapsulates a wisdom that has been forgotten by today's generation of political leaders.
Oh lord. My neightbor is from Israel. She was distraught this morning after watching some of the carnage back home. She is originally from Greece and her family moved to Israel after World War II.
