I wouldn't worry about the Californians who are moving in. At least the ones I know, they are moving out of California and to places like Tennessee (Oklahoma, Texas, etc etc) precisely to get away from the crazy because they themselves are not crazy. I'm not so sure about the university people, though.

Well, I did meet couple from Michigan. I told them ‘Welcome, but please don’t bring your politics here.’ The Husband replied, ‘Well, Nashville’s kind of blue.’ He had his mask and felt that Gov. Whitmer had saved millions. 🤷‍♂️

I know exactly what you're talking about. The cities in the red states, mainly the neighborhoods around universities, are full of holier-than-thou covid-kooks. That said, I know many Californians you'd probably get along with on this subject just fine.
